Dickinson Re-elected to Medfield Planning Board

Boston – Kaplan Construction recently announced that Senior Project Manager Wright Dickinson was recently re-elected to serve his third consecutive five-year term on the planning board for the Town of Medfield, Mass.

Dickinson and the other four members of the board will work with community leaders and residents for the town of 12,000 to build consensus on both current and long-term building and growth plans for Medfield. With goals that include preserving open space and the town’s historic feel, Dickinson and the planning board are charged with a variety of responsibilities including site plan and subdivision reviews, zoning bylaw updates, and involvement in the long-range vision for the redevelopment of the former Medfield State Hospital site.

“For 21 years my family and I have enjoyed all that Medfield has to offer,” said Dickinson. “I grew up watching my father give back to his hometown and now I feel privileged to be able to follow in his footsteps for my community.”

“Many of our projects involve working with building committees comprised of diverse groups of individuals, sharing a common interest to make a difference,” said Ken Kaplan, founder and president of Kaplan Construction.  “Wright has a proven ability to lead discussion and to develop the consensus that is needed to reach goals.  It is this kind of leadership that makes him a valuable asset to both Kaplan and the Town of Medfield.”

Service to the planning board is an unpaid position. Dickinson’s current term runs through 2018.
