Delphi Partners With Make-a-Wish for Abington Boy

make-a-wishWaltham, MA – Delphi Construction, Inc. recently partnered with Make-a-Wish of Massachusetts and Rhode Island to make a dream come true for a nine-year-old Abington boy.

The organization asked Delphi to build a custom treehouse for a young Make-a-Wish child named Connor, who had been diagnosed with Wilms Tumor in 2015.

More than 40 Delphi employees, along with some family members, joined together on build day to construct the project, dubbed “Connor’s Tree House,” that included a multiple level interior space, zipline, climbing area, and target range. The plans were drawn up by Delphi staff, but the feature list came directly from the imagination of Connor.

Delphi CEO, Jake Simmons commented on the event. “Partnering with Make-a-Wish of Massachusetts and Rhode Island on Connor’s Tree House was a profoundly rewarding experience, not only in the sense of joy we felt in helping to make this young boy’s dream come true, but also the spirit of teamwork and camaraderie we experienced as an organization by getting out and giving back, together. I would strongly encourage any business to consider partnering with Make-a-Wish.”
