Melissa DeLano
Avon, MA – Weiss Sheet Metal, a second-generation, privately held family business which provides customized metal fabrication, recently announced the naming of Melissa DeLano of Middleboro to the position of Assistant Administrator.
In this role, she will assist with the day-to-day operations of the office functions, including working with vendors, customers, and human resource functions.
Prior to joining Weiss Sheet Metal, she was the Chief Business Development Officer for a Phoenix-based aviation and aerospace firm, Teseract. She played a key role in the firm’s launch and initial marketing and outreach efforts, as well as helping execute on its business plan. Ms. DeLano’s additional experience includes having started and run her own successful healing arts/aesthetics practice for more than five years.
Her resume also includes having worked as a Hospital Administrator at Banner Boswell Hospital, Sun City, AZ, and in Human Resources role for Anthem Restaurants, Scottsdale, AZ. The Mansfield, MA native also worked in the financial world as an assistant at Edward Jones, Brookline, MA.
Ms. DeLano holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Lesley University, Cambridge, MA. During her student years, she studied overseas for 18 months, in Portugal, London, and Ireland.
In her spare time, she enjoys music, and plays the viola with Orchestra Parkway in Stoughton, MA. She is also a performer with the Norton Singers Theatre Group.
