Spectrum Health Systems residential treatment facility
Worcester, MA – Cutler Associates recently completed construction of the 100-bed, 40,000 square foot Charles J. Faris Recovery Center. The new residential addiction treatment facility, situated on a hilltop overlooking Spectrum Health Systems’ Westborough, MA, campus, replaces their existing 80-bed program.
Designed by DiMella Schaffer architects of Boston, the Faris Recovery Center is a state-of-the- art facility intended to provide Spectrum clients with the very best care available, in the best possible setting.
The 40,000-square-foot three-story building consists of four 25-bed stand-alone residential units. Amenities include a centralized intake area, family meeting space, fitness room, media center, outdoor courtyard, a central dining area and great room, and commercial- grade kitchen facilities. The recovery center has been dedicated in the name of Spectrum’s President and CEO, Chuck Faris, in honor of his 46-year commitment to helping individuals overcome addiction and reclaim their lives.
As part of the project team, Cutler provided planning, estimating, construction management and value engineering services.
