Cutler Associates – Looking at a Strong 2014

by Rebecca Lane Geary

Cutler Associates 2014 is off to a busy start and is gearing up with the hiring of new talent. In the design and construction management business for 42 years, our firm has endured many ebbs and flows in the industry over the decades. From our perspective, early indications are that 2014 is going to be a strong one.

New Cutler team members include: Craig Ablondi, superintendent; Chad Bergeron, estimator; John Duffy, project manager; Bob Grzyb, senior project manager; Rick Robinson, design project coordinator; Sarah Start, accounting intern; April Steward, construction/estimating administrative assistant and Steve Viegas, superintendent. Tiffany Gallo, who has been with Cutler eight years, is moving into a business development role.

“Our employees are the backbone of our company. A talented staff  has allowed us to continue to provide our clients excellent value as we help them design and build the facilities that enable them to thrive and grow,” said Cutler Chairman Fred Mulligan. “When adding to our team, we look for people who share Cutler’s core values of integrity, commitment, teamwork, respect, empathy and initiative,” continued Mulligan. “We believe our clients realize the benefits of hiring a company of strong character, staffed by people of like mind.”

Founded in 1972, Cutler operates out of offices in Worcester, Mass and Tampa, FL. We specialize in collaborative project delivery through integrated planning, design, estimating, and construction management services. Primary markets served include scholastic/institutional, senior living and corporate/industrial sectors.

Cutler’s scholastic division team has established strong working relationships with many in the SCUP community. Our current and newly added staff possess substantial skill and experience with academic projects; it is a core part of our business. Cutler’s integrated approach to design and construction is well aligned with SCUP’s integrated approach to planning for Higher Education. We’re proud to be a member of an organization of such high caliber and we value the relationships built though the SCUP channel.
