Great News! The New England Chapter reached Platinum Status in the CoreNet Global Membership Renewal Drive! New England is the only large chapter in the world to reach Platinum for our 90% renewal rate. Many thanks to all of you who renewed. As a result, our Chapter will receive $120 per member this year. This is a huge accomplishment for our Chapter!

The CoreNet Global brand says it all — “Connect. Learn. Grow. Belong” With 425 members in our New England Chapter and a record-high global membership of 8929, CoreNet Global spans the full CRE supply chain: CRE professionals, service providers and economic developers who network, form relationships, develop business together, share best practices and more.

The New England Chapter’s Annual Meeting on March 31st was held at Iron Mountain at their new global headquarters at One Federal, Boston. Before a sell-out crowd, Sarah Abrams, Senior Vice President of Global Real Estate, and her project team presented a program about the planning, design and construction of their beautiful new space, and then provided tours.

During the meeting, the members in attendance received our Chapter’s first Annual Report. The Annual Report was sent to members who did not attend.

Speaking of annual events, mark your calendar for our Chapter’s Annual Awards of Excellence Gala on November 6th, once again at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel.

Award nominations will close on April 30th. A first-time-ever “Tips + Tricks for Award Winning Submissions” was held in March at Knoll’s Showroom in Boston. For those who missed it, the power point is now posted on our web site.

Now is the time to register and make hotel reservations for the CoreNet Global North American Summit, “Preparing for Future Shifts” in Washington, DC, October 26-29. Over the years, our Chapter has celebrated a large number of registrants, as compared to other chapters, and we trust that this year will be no exception.

On behalf of the New England Chapter Board of Directors, I wish to thank Boston Properties for hosting future Education Committee programs at their beautiful Atlantic Wharf! The first program at Atlantic Wharf is scheduled for the morning of April 9th. Further details on our website.

Also, the Board is grateful to our Founders Circle and Corporate Partner sponsors who have renewed for 2014. We welcome Boyette Strategic Advisors, Fort Point Project Management and Peabody Office as our newest Gold Level Founders Circle members, and Microsoft is our newest Corporate Partner. Thanks for the ongoing commitment of our Corporate and Founders Circle partners whose efforts continue to drive our Chapter’s success.

For future Chapter programs and information, be sure to regularly log on to the New England Chapter website for continuous high quality Education, Programs and Talent in Transition events – all great opportunities for networking and thought leadership.
