Construction Firm Named Accredited Quality Contractor by ABC

Bridgeport, CT – Viking Construction announced it has been named an Accredited Quality Contractor by Associated Builders and Contractors, the second year it has earned the credential for its commitment to corporate responsibility. Only 450 of the nation’s elite merit shop construction contractors earned the credential in 2022.

Launched nearly 30 years ago, ABC’s AQC program provides recognition to construction firms that have documented their commitment in five areas: quality; safety performance; talent management and inclusion, diversity and equity; craft and management education; and community relations.

“The values outlined in the AQC program have always been in line with our values at Viking, so this continued recognition is extremely meaningful to us,” said Anthony Gaglio, Sr., president of Viking. “Of course, this designation is truly a reflection of the entire Viking team which is dedicated to delivering outstanding work for every client, creating a welcoming and productive workplace, and making our world a better place.”

In earning the AQC credential, each member company commits to world-class safety by achieving Gold, Platinum or Diamond level in ABC’s STEP Safety Management System.
