Cambridge, MA – Callahan Construction Managers has completed construction on AVA Northpoint in Cambridge and celebrated with a grand opening on September 26th. The 265 unit luxury mixed-use complex, developed by AvalonBay Communities together with DIVCOWest and The McKinnon Company, features a mix of studio, one, two, and three bedroom residences. Mindful space use and design features include resident amenities such as a 24hr fitness center, gaming lounge, an eco-friendly saline swimming pool, elevated courtyard, WAG pet spa, and a bicycle workshop with a unique DIY space.

The distinct residential apartments’ exterior was designed by Kyu Sung Woo Architects Inc. with CUBE 3 Studio designing the interior units. Select units feature unique finishes such as sliding barn doors, gear walls, utility charging stations and chalkboard walls. In addition, the luxury apartments include high end stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, in-unit laundry, and met LEED Silver sustainability standards.
Callahan’s work on the six-story, wood framed building also includes 3,000 square-feet of retail space on the ground floor and three levels of post tensioned concrete underground parking. AVA North Point is ideally situated in Kendall Square, less than a 5-minute walk from the Lechmere MBTA station and just one mile from Boston.
