Boston –  The Boston office of Cresa,  an occupier-focused commercial real estate firm, announced that it has been recognized as one of the Top Places to Work for 2019 by The Boston Globe. Cresa Boston ranked seventh this year in the small employer category, up from 16 last year.

The 12th Annual Top Places to Work recognition applauds the most admired workplaces in the state, based on anonymous feedback collected through an employee-based survey. The survey measures employee opinions about their company’s direction, execution, connection, management, work, pay and benefits, and engagement.

The Boston office lives by the mantra of “do the right thing” for its clients and staff. This philosophy extends outside of the office, as the company embraces numerous charities such as the Greater Boston Food Bank, Pan-Mass Challenge, Habitat for Humanity, the Special Olympics of Massachusetts and many others. This charity work helps not only in allowing the company to give back to the community but also to rally together internally, promote team building, and help build morale.

The rankings in Top Places to Workare based on confidential survey information collected by Energage (formerly WorkplaceDynamics), an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention, from nearly 66,000 individuals at 323 Massachusetts organizations. The winners share a few key traits, including offering progressive benefits, giving their employees a voice, and encouraging them to have some fun while they’re at it.
