City Point Partners recently announced that they have launched The Women’s Forum. Consisting of staff representing a variety of disciplines including public outreach, project controls and program management, the City Point Partners Women’s Forum was created to facilitate networking, mentoring, and discussion of workplace issues among colleagues.  Led by Women’s Forum co-chairs, Kim Treacy, assistant project manager, and Apoorva Paruchuri, lead project controls specialist, the inaugural meeting was held in December to coincide with the Massachusetts Conference for Women. During the meeting, a livestream of the conference was shown followed by a conversation about the unique issues faced by women in the AEC industry.

“It is extremely important to me that we have The Women’s Forum to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing between the women who contribute so much to the success of our firm,“ remarked Colleen Moore, the firm’s president. “Since starting the firm in 2009, I have emphasized the mentoring of young women.”

“As co-chair of The Women’s Forum, I’m excited to have this unique opportunity to help my colleagues grow and learn from each other,” said Treacy.

“I’m impressed with the accomplishments and experience of the members of the City Point Partners Women’s Forum and look forward to working with this group for the rest of my term as co-chair,“ said Paruchuri.

Future activities for the Women’s Forum include enrolling in classes and workshops together, volunteering in their respective communities, and book reviews on relevant topics.
