Hartford, CT – The University of Hartford’s Construction Institute will be holding its 38th Annual Membership Meeting and Awards Dinner on Thursday, June 19, 2014. Each year, the Construction Institute honors individuals who embody the highest level of professionalism in serving the construction industry in the State of Connecticut. The recipients are selected based on their personal achievements, for their impact on the industry, and their contributions to the larger community. This year’s honorees are:

Special Lifetime Recognition Award
For his outstanding contributions to Connecticut’s construction industry, for his many years of dedication to the Construction Institute and for his service to the larger community
Thomas Trutter
Distinguished Achievement Award
For his many contributions to Connecticut’s construction industry, for his commitment to the Construction Institute and for his service to the larger community
David Brownell
Distinguished Service Award
For his outstanding service, continued dedication, and significant ongoing efforts to extend the influence of the Construction Institute, University of Hartford

Special Industry Recognition Award
For outstanding contributions to the community, continuing capital investments benefiting the region’s economy and commitment to improving the quality of the built environment
