Christmas in July: Donation Drive for Big Brothers Big Sisters

by Jenn Robertson

Following in the footsteps of the Hallmark Channel, SMPS Boston is celebrating Christmas in July – and August! Historically, the SMPS Boston Holiday Party has held an annual Holiday Clothing Drive Competition for donations to the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent cancellation of the Holiday Party, those donations were put on hold – until now! Between now and August 13, SMPS Boston will match every dollar our community donates, up to $1,000.

How to donate:

Go to https://emassbigs.org/donate/ and choose your donation amount. Then, send proof of your donation (a receipt, screen shot, etc.) to [email protected], and the chapter will make a donation of the same value.

Not familiar with Big Brothers Big Sisters?

Since 1904, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is incredible potential. As the nation’s largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 5 through young adulthood in communities across the country. They develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people. Learn more here: https://www.bbbs.org/.
