Carlone Elected to RISEP Board of Directors

Providence, RI and Norwood, MA – GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc., an environmental and geotechnical consulting firm headquartered in Norwood, MA and with offices throughout the United States, recently announced that Rick Carlone P.E. of their Providence RI office has been elected to the Board of Directors for the Rhode Island Society of Environmental Professionals for a one year term.

A resident of Cranston RI, Carlone is a Project Manager with the Water Resources, Landfill/Site Civil and Environmental Groups. His experience at GZA over the past seven years has involved Landfill, Environmental, Site, Civil and Water Resources engineering projects. He has extensive experience in the design and implementation of environmental investigations and Site remediation, including Superfund investigations, environmental due diligence, landfill engineering, groundwater hydrology investigations, environmental data management, Site Development, permitting, drainage design, and surface water modeling.

Carlone’s projects have included work on the Central Landfill in Johnston, RI and the Pocasset River in Johnston and Cranston, RI. A native of Johnston, RI Carlone earned both his bachelor of science in Civil Engineering and his master of science in Civil Engineering from the University of Rhode Island.

The Rhode Island Society of Environmental Professionals (RISEP) is a nonprofit corporation formed in 1989 to encourage and facilitate the development and support of the environmental services industry in Rhode Island.

The membership of RISEP includes engineering and environmental consulting firms, industry/manufacturing, academia, attorneys, government agencies and environmental technology businesses. RISEP provides a collective voice for the environmental community in the identification of key regulatory issues and reforms that are important to industry and commerce. RISEP provides a coordinated level of technical expertise to the regulatory and legislative community for expert reviews and guidance.
