Maynard, MA – Campbell-McCabe Worldwide, LLC announced it provided door hardware consulting specification services for Coterie Cathedral Hill, a 209-unit luxury senior living development located at 1001 Van Ness Ave. in San Francisco’s Cathedral Hill neighborhood.

The 13-story building, which also includes 7,000 sq. ft. of ground floor retail, was completed in 2022. Coterie Cathedral Hill is designed to give residents a complete offering of services and amenities under one roof while offering the convenience of city living. Campbell-McCabe worked with Related Companies, Atria Senior Living, and Handel Architects on the project.

Amenities at Coterie Cathedral Hill include a rooftop pool with views of St. Mary’s Cathedral, City Hall, and downtown; a fitness center; and a movie theater. On site restaurants serve food supplied by local providers and prepared by Michelin-rated chefs. The community also features medical services, including specialized care for residents living with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other cognitive impairments.

“What is unique about this development is the incorporation of more complex medical and wellness facilities, alongside residential units and amenities, to serve the needs of Coterie Cathedral Hill’s residents,” said Susan McCabe Messier, DHT, principal and owner, Campbell-McCabe Worldwide, LLC. “It was an exciting challenge that included melding our extensive experience in the healthcare/medical sector with our experience in the high-end multi-residential market to create a safe and secure environment for seniors in a luxury setting.”

Coterie Cathedral Hill was recently recognized with an Award of Merit at the Society of American Registered Architects (SARA) 2023 California Design Awards and was named a winner in the Senior Living category at Interior Design Magazine’s 2022 Best of Year Awards. It was also awarded Gold for Best Development & Design in Senior Housing for 2022 at the Multi-Housing News Excellence Awards.

“Coterie Cathedral Hill is an impressive example of this type of development that provides a full offering of upscale amenities along with comprehensive medical services for its residents,” said McCabe Messier. “We are honored to be part of the team, and in helping create a model for future high-end developments for seniors.”
