Earlier this month TMS received an AIA NH Honorable Mention for the 25,000sf clubhouse, which they modeled after two resorts in Jackson Hole.

GreatHorse was purchased in 2012 when it was called Hampden Country Club. The new owners wanted a more casual, relaxing atmosphere where members didn’t have to worry about the rules. The initial plan was to give the existing facilities a facelift, but the owners quickly realized they wanted a fresh start.

The physical setting is also picturesque. The view of the golf course, the distant Berkshires and the stunning sunsets leave guests breathless.

“C.E. Floyd and TMS truly had a collaborative approach to the delivery of this project,” said C.E. Floyd’s Senior Project Manager Kevin Boyle. “It’s not everyday you get to construct a building of this type; the high end nature of the design made it exciting to build.”

The AIA NH awards jury commented, “This club shows tremendous follow-through in terms of craftsmanship, material selection and detailing.”
