Burns Named President of A.W. Hastings

J. Keenan Burns

Enfield, CT – A.W. Hastings has named J. Keenan Burns as its new president.

He succeeds former president Dusty Hoyt, who is retiring at the end of this year after 45 years of service.

Burns, who has been with Hastings for the past 30 years, has served the company as vice president since 1996 and as executive vice president and COO since 2004.

Hoyt expressed confidence that Burns is well positioned to lead Hastings into the future.

A.W. Hastings is the exclusive representative of Marvin Windows and Doors in New England. The firm has been familyowned since its founding in 1846 and will continue to be so moving forward.

“This is truly a natural evolution for our organization, and a seamless continuation of how we have been working,” Hoyt said. “I look forward to watching Keenan continue to bring the same passion, innovation, and insight to his new role that has served Hastings and our customers so well for decades.”

Members of the Hoyt family are still actively engaged in the business on a daily basis.

Burns said Dusty Hoyt will leave a lasting legacy for Hastings and its constituents. “Dusty’s impact can be seen in the deep ties we have with our customers and with Marvin,” he said. “Many of these relationships go back decades, often with people who themselves are members of family-owned companies. All of us at Hastings owe Dusty our gratitude, and we will continue to build upon our solid foundation as we move forward.”

“Hastings is also extremely fortunate in that we have a group of experienced and knowledgeable employees who have dedicated their energy and talent to helping shape our organization into the strong and respected company it is today. I look forward to building the future with each of them, as we uncover new ways to achieve success and to “Challenge, Innovate and Win” for ourselves and for our customers.”

Burns’s appointment to the position of Hastings president took effect on June 1st.
