Burke Becomes One of the First to Earn Top Three Design Credentials

Steven Burke

Milford, MA – Consigli Construction Co., Inc. announced that Sustainability Manager Steven Burke earned his Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC) certification.

Coupled with his LEED & WELL Faculty designations, Burke is now one of two employees in the world to have all three certifications. There are only two other commercial builders in the U.S. that have a CPHC on staff.

“Discussions around making a building more sustainable should begin in the early ideation phase of any project, which is why it’s essential to have a design mindset within the construction management industry,” said Burke. “With these credentials, clients will know that every feature of their projects is ecologically efficient and built to positively impact the environment.”

Launched in 2008 by the Passive House Institute US, Inc. (PHIUS), the CPHC certification is a rigorous course in passive house building and design training to help architectural, engineering, and construction industry professionals to help buildings to be more energy-efficient based on five key principles.

Burke’s accomplishment in solidifying this challenging certification is the latest move by Consigli to ensure that advanced energy and net zero strategies are core tenets of the company’s building model.
