- View March of the Penguins on Sunday, December 4, at 2 p.m. in the Children’s Library at the Central Library in Copley Square.
- Children ages 1-5 join singer Jeanne Mack for winter songs and stories on Tuesday, December 6, at 11 a.m. at the West Roxbury Branch, located at 1961 Centre Street.
- The South Boston Arts Association presents its 4th annual Gingerbread House Contest and Exhibition to benefit Toys for Tots on Monday, December 12, at 6 p.m. at the South Boston Branch, located at 646 East Broadway.
- Decorate and enjoy homemade gingerbread and cut-out sugar cookies on Tuesday, December 13, at 4:30 p.m. at the Adams Street Branch, located at 690 Adams Street in Dorchester.

- Join in the spirit of the season at David Polansky’s holiday sing along concert for adults and seniors on Wednesday, December 14, at 1 p.m. at the South Boston Branch, located at 646 East Broadway.
- A holiday-themed concert featuring students from the New England Conservatory takes place in conjunction with the Library’s Never Too Late Group on Thursday, December 15, at 2 p.m. in the Commonwealth Salon at the Central Library in Copley Square.
- A holiday book sale takes place on Saturday, December 17, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the South Boston Branch, located at 646 East Broadway.
