Bank of America Opens new Kendall Square Financial Center

Cambridge, MA – Bank of America will hold a grand opening celebration on July 24 at the new Kendall Square Financial Center in Cambridge. The new Kendall Square FC replaces the former FC that was located in a different building on Main Street, Cambridge. The new location is nearly quadruple the size of the old FC and houses all Bank of America’s consumer partners as well as Merrill Lynch and the Private Bank (US Trust).

The Financial Center is unique in that it is on the second floor of the building, but does have a street-level entrance. The FC is in the new Proto building which is a new 22-story residential building, with roughly 280 units. Residents have direct access to the FC, including after-hours access to Merrill Lynch and the Private Bank.

At the grand opening, Bank of America will present a grant to the Cambridge Housing Authority (CHA) in the amount of $25,000 to support their Work Force Program. Bank of America has been supporting the Cambridge Housing Authority through grant making since 2015. The goal of The Work Force Program is to close the achievement gap for teenagers living in public housing and break the cycle of intergenerational poverty.
