Architecture Firm Celebrates 46 Years

Hopkinton, MA – Gorman Richardson Lewis Architects (GRLA) celebrated its 46th anniversary by providing pro-bono design work, volunteering, and charitable giving.

GRLA provided design work on a new home for a local family who was displaced after a fire.  The firm has also offered in-kind services to the United Way of Tri County as it looked to relocate its food pantry and provided master planning services for three camp properties belonging to the West Suburban YMCA.

“One of the community-based programs we are happy to support is Life-Skills, Inc.  We provided them with substantially discounted design services for their recent relocation in Gardner, MA,” said President and founding Principal, Scott Richardson.  “They provide a wide variety of services to individuals with intellectual, developmental, physical and emotional disabilities throughout Central and Western MA.”

Supporting the arts and cultural institutions has been a mainstay of the firm.  The Hopkinton Center for the Arts has benefited from GRLA’s involvement in every phase of its growth and expansion and GRLA is currently assisting on the master planning for their next era of growth.  GRLA’s other recent pro-bono work includes consulting with the New England Air Museum in Connecticut and with the historical House of Seven Gables in Salem, Mass.
