Anthony Gaglio, Jr. and Robin Bienemann, program manager and entrepreneur-in-residence for UConn’s Family Business Program
Bridgeport, CT – Anthony Gaglio, Jr., vice president at Viking Construction, was honored recently with the Hartford Business Journal’s Rising Star Award.
The award, which recognizes the impact and achievements of executives age 40 or younger at a family-owned business, was presented at the Journal’s 2022 Family Business Awards held on June 16 at the Farmington Gardens.
Gaglio was nominated for this award because of his leadership roles at Viking Construction, his family’s commercial construction business. Under his direction, the company has seen steady growth in business, which includes work for municipalities, universities and private organizations, has achieved the highest safety ratings, and has pursued a diverse corporate and jobsite team. Gaglio has also helped foster future generations of construction workers through the Viking Scholarship which he helped create. Additionally, he is a strong supporter of several industry and community-based organizations.
