AEC Leadership Conference: How to Be an AEC Leader in the 21st Century

Hartford, CT  – The Construction Institute, University of Hartford, has announced panels and keynote speakers for the  AEC Leadership Conference. This is a first-of-its kind event for architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, owners/operators (AECO), lawyers, accountants, and other professionals in the industry.  The event is being held Thursday, November 15, 2018, at the Eversource Conference Center in Berlin.

Jim Cramer, Former EVP, AIA, Founder, DesignIntelligence is the opening keynote speaker for the event: Leadership and Value Migration in the New A/E/C Industry.  Vaki Mawema, senior associate, Gensler, will speak about The Space Between: Leadership’s Sweet Spot In the Age of Disruption;  and Sue Klawans, Susan Klawans, Lean Strategist Consultant, will close the day with her address: Bringing it All Together: From Vision to Action.

The full day program also features two panel discussions, “Leadership that Stands the Test of Time” and “Entering a New Age of Leadership.” There will be eight workshop sessions to choose from including “The Neuroscience of Leadership,” “Leading Across Silos,” and “How to Create Systems to Allow for Change.”

The program is designed to spark interactions, discussions, and relationships among attendees, who will include experienced leaders, emerging leaders, and those just entering the industry from a variety of professions.
