AEC Firm Launches BCRF Fundraiser

Cambridge, MA – TG Gallagher, a mechanical construction firm in Cambridge, has launched its fifth annual Vests for the Breasts campaign. The campaign, which has run every October since 2014, aims to bring together AEC professionals nationwide in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

This year, TG Gallagher has designated a day for the industry to ‘go pink’ in honor of Vests for the Breasts: Thursday, October 25th. On this day, architecture, engineering, and construction professionals are asked to wear pink either in the office or under their safety vests in the field. The goal is simple: Use pink to call attention to breast cancer and make a statement of collective support. The company in turn hopes to remind both men and women of the importance of taking preventative measures.

“Hospitals, universities, malls, stadiums, you name it. Our industry professionals are working everywhere. When we wear pink, the public takes notice. And the power of social media just amplifies the effects even further. We encourage everyone, both individuals and entire crews and firms, to wear pink on October 25th. And make sure you post about it! We’re looking forward to a sea of pink photos this year. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #vestsforthebreasts so we can share in your support,” says  TG Gallagher’s Marketing Director, Brittany Busa. .

Each year, TG Gallagher makes a donation to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) at the campaign’s close. This year, the company is selling Vests for the Breasts t-shirts to be worn on October 25th and throughout October, of which 100% of the profits made will go to BCRF.
