Outside the work environment, he volunteers his time with several organizations, the Breast Cancer Society and Unlimited Possibilities (in New Hampshire).

The father of two, in his spare time, enjoys golfing, hockey, tennis, mountain climbing and hiking. Dave Dirubbo, President of Acella Construction, said, “We feel very fortunate to be able to bring in someone with Skip’s talent and industry knowledge. He built a well-respected, very successful firm with a strong reputation, and is one of the industry’s most respected leaders. With his knowledge and expertise, I know that he will be a tremendous asset to our clients and to our team as we continue to expand. Skip is known for his integrity, industry knowledge and work ethic. We are so pleased to welcome him to our Acella family.”

Skip Chabot said, “Within weeks of retiring from Bowdoin I began to realize how much I really missed the industry and the people.  I decided that I still wanted to continue to make a contribution to the industry which has been my life for so many years. I have always enjoyed the fast pace  of the construction business, and consider myself a hands-on person and that is what so intriged me about Acella and the opportunity that David offered me.”
