Boston – The American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts (ACEC/MA) has named Adam Leonard, a senior project manager at RDK Engineers, as recipient of the 2016 Young Professional Award, announced at the recent ACEC/MA Engineering Excellence and Awards Gala.

The award recognizes the accomplishments of young engineers who have made outstanding contributions to the profession, possess a high level of integrity, and whose work has made a positive impact on society. Award winners are engineers, age 30 or under, with a degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited U.S. college or university.

While a project manager at Fitzemeyer & Tocci Associates, Inc., Leonard managed the redevelopment of the iconic Claire T. Carney Library for the University of Massachusetts, leading his team in redesigning a LEED-certified, energy-efficient, and cost-saving facility, while maintaining the historic architecture and significance of the building.
