Robert Broudo, president and headmaster, said that the C.E. Floyd the Science Center “has added a dimension to our school community that can only be characterized as transformative.”

While Carolyn Orsini Nelson, director of institutional advancement, commented, “This building elevates the teaching of science, technology and engineering for all our students.”

“Our companies are committed to providing the highest quality of work in a safe and efficient manner,” said ABC MA President Greg Beeman. “Tonight is a great night to recognize their achievements and celebrate the merit shop construction industry as a whole.” Everyone on the project team came together on this project for the good of the school and its students. When it came time to start the construction, the impact of having many of the team members together from the start was a great benefit. No one argued or made changes to the construction documents, because everyone worked together during the design phase.

Architect Tom Peterman commented, “There was none of the stress often associated with a design and construction team that might have different objectives and priorities. I felt that [the C.E. Floyd] team was committed to the design and the quality of the workmanship as much as we were and it made for a very successful outcome.”
