Employees celebrate Annual Community Week

Local Stantec employees celebrate sixth annual Stantec in the Community Week

Boston –  From Boston, Massachusetts to South Burlington, Vermont, Stantec’s New England offices were all in for the firm’s sixth annual Stantec in the Community Week. This celebration of worldwide community service occurred from September 24 – 29th with more than 5,600 team members volunteering for 321 charities around the globe.

Some examples of Stantec in the Community Week activities from the firm’s 11 offices across New England include:

 

  • Boston – More than 50 employees split into two teams to support communities across the city. One group provided clean-up and planting at theEgleston Square Peace Garden in Jamaica Plain, while the other participated in Playworks of New England at Eliot K-8 Innovation School in the North End.
  • Hartford, Connecticut – Staff harvested crops for Grow Hartford Urban Farm
  • South Burlington, Vermont – Employees headed to Wheeler Homestead and the Vermont Garden Park to harvest vegetables and support operations at the community Food Shelf.
  • Topsham, Maine – Staff donated time to build a trail at Brunswick Town Commons
  • Auburn, New Hampshire – The team dedicated time at Barnard Park in Goffstown, replacing timbers at the playgrounds and tending to the trails.
