The Construction Institute Announces Women Who Build Summit

Hartford, CT The Construction Institute of the University of Hartford, has announced panels and keynote speakers for the 2019 Women Who Build Leadership and Networking Summit, a premier event for architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, owners/operators, lawyers, accountants, and other professionals in the industry.

This program is a focused event that promotes the strength and glass-ceiling breaking rise of woman in the construction industry. Last year’s program was attended by 225 professionals and won the Connecticut Entrepreneur Awards Community Favorite Event. The all-day event is being held Thursday, February 21, 2019, at Goodwin College in East Hartford.

 Denise M. Berger, FAIA,  the Chief of Operations of The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, will serve as the keynote speaker. She will share her experiences as a groundbreaking woman in the industry.

Berger,  in a career spanning over 30 years, currently oversees the engineering department of one of the largest port authorities in the United States.
