Lounsberry Named One of New England’s Top Young Professionals

Boston – Boston-based design visualization expert Chuck Lounsberry has been selected as one of New England’s Top Young Professionals in 2015 by industry authority Engineering News Record (ENR) magazine.

A senior associate at design firm Stantec, Lounsberry is one of 10 professionals selected for the honor, which highlights New England’s most accomplished professionals under the age of 40. Lounsberry, 38, leads Stantec’s design visualization team, which provides photorealistic renderings, 3D modeling, animations, and other visuals that bring words and concepts to life.

A trained landscape architect, Lounsberry was promoted to associate at age 23, making him the youngest associate in company history. He combined his understanding of landscape architecture and design with computer modeling and graphics to develop his group of one into a team of 14 designers (six in Boston) who work all over the world to help Stantec and its clients communicate project concepts visually.

“Chuck has a knack for understanding and translating what are often complicated ideas,” says Joe Geller, Stantec vice president and New England regional leader. “That’s what makes his work so important – a realistic portrayal of a new development, building, or process can make all the difference to it being accepted by the community. He’s also such a personable, down-to-earth guy that our clients simply like working with him.”
