ESC Announces New Hires

Boston – Electric Supply Center (ESC), a New England based  electrical equipment and supplies company, recently announced the addition of two new hires to the company – Michele Sebastiao as a Project Manager in ESC’s Lighting Department and Ken Hackett as Outside Sales Account Manager for ESC.

Both employees will operate out of ESC’s headquarters in Burlington, Ma., yet Hackett will also spend time on the road to develop and maintain client relationships to help continue ESC’s recent growth and achieve the company’s long-term goal of being the leading Electrical distributor in New England.

As a Project Manager in ESC’s Lighting Department, Sebastiao will be responsible for estimating and project managing lighting projects at ESC; furnishing accurate and timely estimates to contractors throughout New England; lighting quote generation; and vendor and customer communication. A West Roxbury resident, Sebastiao previously worked as a Project Manager for several companies.

With over eight years of Project Manager experience to her name, Sebastiao has a robust record of achieving critical objectives and timelines, as well as an extensive background in interior design and lighting consulting. She is a graduate of Endicott College in Beverly, Ma., having earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design.

In his new role at ESC, Hackett will work to determine customer needs and propose appropriate service needs to provide cost savings to help ESC clients achieve financial success on every job they do. Hackett will also develop and maintain an awareness of market behavior and competitive trends and respond accordingly to ensure ESC business goals are met or exceeded.

A Belchertown, Ma. native, Hackett is an electrical industry sales professional with 25 years of experience in the industry, all with the same organization. Initially working in Inside Sales and Warehouse capacities, Hackett was ultimately promoted to the positions of Account Manager, and then Senior Account Manager, where he was a key contributor to the Central New England region through the oversight of multiple key accounts and sales of entire electrical portfolios.

“We are excited to have Michele and Ken on board with ESC,” said ESC President, Larry LaFreniere. “Their leadership and management capabilities will be greatly beneficial to our company as we continue to grow in both size and customer base throughout New England.”
